IK Partners Raises $3.3bn for Midcap Investments in Europe

European private equity firm IK Partners has announced the successful closing of its tenth midcap fund, the IK X Fund, at a hard cap of $3.3 billion. This marks the firm's largest fundraising effort to date.

The IK X Fund builds on the success of its predecessor, the IK IX Fund, which raised €2.8 billion in 2020. The new fund attracted significant interest from a diverse group of institutional investors, with allocations distributed across EMEA (64%), Asia (20%), and the Americas (16%). Notably, there was a record level of investment from new limited partners.

This fundraising achievement comes during a period of heightened investment activity for IK Partners. Since the beginning of 2024, the firm has completed 20 new platform investments and executed 11 exits.

The IK X Fund has already made seven investments and will continue to focus on acquiring established mid-market businesses in Europe, specifically those valued above €200 million. The firm’s core sectors of interest include Business Services, Healthcare, Consumer, and Industrials.
