Twenty7tec, a Bournemouth-based mortgage technology firm, has secured a £16.5 million investment from BGF to fuel its growth and expansion in the UK. Founded in 2014, Twenty7tec is a prominent player in the UK mortgage tech landscape, serving over 16,000 mortgage, protection, and wealth advisers daily with its streamlined platform.

The platform simplifies the mortgage process from product search to application completion, providing efficient and accurate data to help advisers navigate regulatory complexities. Recent investments in its CRM platform, FINPLAN, and digital marketing solution, COMMUNICATE, have expanded its integrated solutions in the mortgage and wealth advisory markets.

BGF's investment will accelerate Twenty7tec's product development, enhance its technology infrastructure, and explore new market opportunities. The funding will also support the expansion of its team of industry experts, ensuring continued innovation and exceptional service for its growing customer base.

As part of the investment, Angela Williams has joined the board as non-executive chair, bringing extensive experience from senior roles at British Airways, Centrica PLC, and Land Securities PLC. Williams' expertise in scaling tech-focused businesses is expected to be invaluable for Twenty7tec's growth.

CEO James Tucker expressed excitement about the partnership with BGF, highlighting the shared enthusiasm for the opportunities ahead. He emphasized the company's commitment to revolutionizing how financial advisers use technology to deliver exceptional advice, noting that the journey is far from complete.

Tucker acknowledged the ongoing challenges faced by advisers and providers in accessing the right tools and real-time data. He believes the investment will enable Twenty7tec to play a more significant role in helping millions of customers receive the right advice for their circumstances.

The partnership with BGF is seen as a perfect fit, with plans to enhance talent, invest in products, and seek complementary inorganic growth opportunities. Tucker is proud to lead the business into its next stage of evolution, with the support of Angela Williams and the backing of BGF.
