Dream Games, a Turkish mobile gaming studio known for its popular titles Royal Match and Royal Kingdom, has secured a strategic investment from CVC, a global alternative asset management firm. This investment, along with debt financing from Blackstone and other investors, will support Dream Games' expansion efforts.

The deal allows the company's initial venture capital partners to exit after more than five years, while establishing a new partnership with CVC as its equity partner. This collaboration is aimed at accelerating Dream Games' growth and reinforcing its position in the mobile gaming market. The transaction is pending regulatory approvals and is anticipated to close in the third quarter of 2025.

Founded in 2019 by Soner Aydemir, Ikbal Namli, Hakan Saglam, Eren Sengul, and Serdar Yilmaz, Dream Games has quickly made a name for itself in the mobile gaming industry. Its flagship game, Royal Match, has achieved over $3 billion in lifetime revenue and nearly 300 million downloads.

In November 2024, Dream Games launched Royal Kingdom, which generated $5.5 million in net in-app purchase revenue within its first month—three times the revenue of Royal Match during its initial month.

Nick Clarry, Managing Partner and Head of CVC’s Sports, Media and Entertainment team, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, highlighting Dream Games' successful intellectual properties, including characters like King Robert and King Richard. He emphasized the firm's commitment to supporting the management team in realizing their ambitious vision for the Royal Universe.

With the financial backing from CVC and other investors, Dream Games is poised to expand its Royal universe and develop new gaming titles, further solidifying its presence in the competitive mobile gaming landscape.
